The McGrath Video-laryngoscope

By Dr. Elliott

The McGrath Videolaryngoscope is now available for use.  Careful use, cleaning and replacement are the responsibility of the user!  It is a $10,000 item...need I say more.  The current model is a loaner so be careful from start to finish.  I have promised Mr. Clardy that we can be trusted to stock it and return it to the Pyxis after use.  So, please be careful with it.
.

Please observe the following additional ground-rules:
1)  It may be checked out from the Pyxis tower in the anesthesia lounge.  (ie use is tracked)
2)  Clean it according to instructions attached to this email before returning to the Pyxis.  (If you delegate this responsibility, it is still your responsibility to see that it is safely returned in its soft case to the Pyxis.)
3)  Disposable blade covers are available in the workroom.
4)  Enjoy the addition of this device to our difficult airway armamentarium.  Click here for the Web instructional video.
