Welcome to the Scott & White Nurse
Anesthesia web site. As Chief CRNA, it is my pleasure to work with a cohesive, highly skilled group of CRNA's
on a daily basis. As a group, CRNA's at Scott & White administer the majority of the anesthetics. Working
in a collaborative team format with anesthesiologists and residents, our skills are valued and respected. The
combination of a great pay/benefit package, a supportive, technology-rich environment, and a small town atmosphere make Scott
& White one of the best employment opportunities in the nation. If you work well with others and want to join a
team of exceptional Nurse Anesthetists, please refer to our recruiting page.

Thanks
for your interest in the Scott and White Department of Anesthesiology. Our facility in Temple, Texas is
a busy tertiary care facility in which approximately 30,000 anesthetics a year are provided in 24 operating rooms in the main
hospital and 8 operating rooms in our ambulatory facility adjacent to the hospital. While we have enjoyed
a very strong anesthesiology residency training program, the success of our department has always depended upon an extraordinary
group of CRNA’s who provide approximately 70 percent of our anesthetics utilizing a medically directed model. CRNA’s
at Scott and White enjoy a very diverse practice that can accommodate individual strengths and includes participation in our
most complex case mix. The institutional history and my personal belief has always been that the best and safest model of
anesthetic care occurs in the anesthesia care team. Because of our teaching mission, we have been able to easily mentor CRNA’s
who have recently completed their training as well as leverage the incredible clinical skills of our experienced CRNA team
members with more challenging cases. Please visit our recruiting page to explore opportunities to join our team.
